An exhibition that summarizes the history of dolls and toy dioramas in Spain over a century.
All of the items selected are original and belong to the Quiroga-Monte Collection. In the first section one can see, among others, the primitive earthenware dolls; the popular peponas; the famous Mariquita Pérez, Gisela, and Cayetana, with luxurious dresses and accessories, together with their brothers Juanín, Guni, and Manolín, respectively; the amusing Mari Pepa Mendoza, Maricela, and Malibú, the latter with her brother Quique; the friendly Guendalina and the unforgettable Nancy. We have also focussed on dolls related to the Basque Country, such as for example Mary Cris, which was mainly distributed in Bilbao.
