Rialia Industria Museoa hosts the photographic exhibition “El Bosque de Oma de Ibarrola”, organized by Mario Onaindia Fundazioa. The exhibition, featuring over thirty photographs accompanied by poetic texts, will be open until October 27. Guided tours are available in both Basque and Spanish.
The captivating images that bring this exhibition to life were captured by Teresa Ormazabal, with the selection overseen by Agustín Ibarrola himself. The photographs, taken in 2016 and 2017, showcase the original version of the Forest of Oma.
The accompanying poetic texts, available in both Basque and Spanish, were written by Aritz Gorrotxategi, Pellio Otxoteko, Juan Ramón Makuso, Luisa Etxenike, Eli Tolaretxipi, Julia Otxoa, and Felipe Juaristi.
The Forest of Oma is one of the most iconic works of artist Agustín Ibarrola (1930- 2023). Visited by thousands of people in recent decades, it has become a major artistic landmark in Euskadi. With this exhibition, Rialia Industria Museoa seeks to bring the Forest of Oma and Agustín Ibarrola’s work to the Basque towns, enabling as many people as possible to experience it firsthand.
